Founded by Chris McMurray, a digital operator of more than twenty years, it exists to show, openly and without placing any one view above the rest, where every honest way of seeing describes a single reality.
The insight underneath
It began with a pattern that would not go quiet.
For thousands of years, the same recognition kept surfacing in places that never met. Hermetic philosophers opened with the All as Mind. Christian contemplatives pointed inward, to the kingdom within. The science of mind described reality answering to inner state. Quantum physics found the observer woven into the observed. Different languages, one country.
None of these traditions copied the others. They had no shared words, no shared century, no shared map. And they still arrived at the same place, because each was following something real, and it led them all to the same door. When that many honest searches end up pointing the same direction, it stops looking like coincidence and starts looking like the truth showing through.
Empire of Light exists to hold that door open. Not to flatten the traditions into one, and not to keep the equations while losing the poetry. Instead, to lay them over one another and let the single, luminous structure rise out of the overlap. The same thread runs through all of them, and it leads home.
The traditions were never arguing. They were standing in different places, describing the same mountain.
The method
A discipline, not a belief.
The frame that holds the many traditions together is one we call Perspective Geometry. Its first principle is simple and demanding: no single vantage point sees the whole. Each tradition is a real view of something too large for any one window, and the truth is what you find by holding all the windows open at once.
This is why inclusion here is not a slogan. It is accuracy. Naming every tradition as a coordinate, rather than a rival to defeat, is simply the honest way to map something this large. No one is asked to abandon their own language to find the shared one.
Held as a chosen way of seeing, never asserted as final fact, Perspective Geometry lets Empire of Light evoke what is felt and invite what is true, without ever preaching certainty.

The founder
A builder who kept noticing the pattern.
Empire of Light was founded by Chris McMurray. He is not a guru, and he would be the first to say so. He is a builder and a digital operator of more than twenty years, with a career that started in real estate, got its feet wet building websites and digital marketing in 2007, and ran through ecommerce, content, automation, and software from there.
Most recently that work moved into the self-improvement and conscious-creator space, and the pattern that this whole project rests on kept surfacing across all of it. After years of seeing the same shape appear from completely different directions, the honest thing to do was to map it openly rather than keep it to himself.
The authority here is not a wall of credentials. It is the depth of the work itself, which you are welcome to inspect, and the years of practice it took to make something this layered feel simple. You can read it for yourself in the Journal of Insights.

Is Empire of Light a religion, or does it ask me to believe anything?
Neither. Empire of Light belongs to no denomination and asks you to adopt no belief. It honors many traditions, including the contemplative heart of Christianity, and studies the common ground beneath them. No window is placed above the others, and what the work means is yours to keep.
Is the science settled, or is this a claim that science proves the traditions?
No. Empire of Light does not claim that science proves the ancients, or that ancient wisdom proves science. Science is honored as one lens among many, never the yardstick. This is pioneering work that posits ideas openly and adapts as more perspective arrives. The honest claim is quieter: very different languages keep describing the same structure.
Do I need any background to belong here?
