Wisdom Talk

Press talk. Ask the Library anything.

Lumen is the digital librarian for Empire of Light. Ask her anything. In real time she draws on 117 books of wisdom tradition and science, read closely and cross-referenced, and makes complex ideas clear and relatable in a friendly conversation that can always go deeper. You set how much background you want. Whatever you need to understand, she explains it until you’re confident you do.

What it’s like

Imagine a friend who has read all 117 books, and has all evening for you.

You say what’s on your mind. She listens. She gets what you actually mean. Then she opens the exact passage that speaks to it, tells you which book it came from, and asks what you want to do with it. That is Wisdom Talk: a real conversation with the wisdom traditions, out loud, in real time.

  1. 1

    You talk.

Out loud, in your own words, about whatever is actually on your mind.

  2. 2

She listens, and she gets it.

Not keywords. The real question under the one you asked. She meets it with a passage from the Gita, the Sermon on the Mount, a sutra or a modern researcher, and tells you exactly where it came from.

  3. 3

She opens it up with you.

Ask her to go deeper. Ask what the Kabbalists said about the same thing. Ask her to make it practical for tonight. She expands it as far as you want to take it.

Things people try in the first ten minutes

  • Ask the question you’ve carried for years and never had anyone to ask.
  • Take one verse from your Bible study and ask how the Tao Te Ching, the Gita and the sutras answer it.
  • Ask for help with the thing you’re in the middle of right now.
  • Test her. Ask something hard. See where it goes.
  • Turn the conversation into your own custom Handbook.

Don’t know where to start? Say “lead the way” and she’ll ask.

For all of history this took thousands of pages and years of interpretation.
Now it takes a question.

The Takeaway

You leave with something you can use tonight.

Every conversation lands on a Takeaway: the one thing to try tonight, the source it came from, and one question to sit with.

Picture the end of the session. Not a pile of notes. One clear move. One passage you can go back to. One question that keeps working on you all week. That is what actually changes a life: not more information, one thing tried.

Or make it a habit

Monthly

For the person who wants this in their week, every week. The hours arrive on their own; you just show up and talk.

Every month adds your hours as a new package, good for 12 months. Cancel anytime; the hours you already have stay until they expire.

Privacy

Your privacy is held with care.

Empire of Light designed Wisdom Talk so your time with Lumen can build from one session to the next, and still belong to you.

What Lumen keeps:
What you’ve shared about your life, the topics you’ve explored, the practice you’re on, and your next step. Never a transcript, and never impressions about you.
What’s never kept:
a record of your conversations. What you say is heard in the moment; only the short note above stays.
A wall inside the system:
the part that reviews Lumen’s quality can never open your notes.
Yours to control:
read and edit your note anytime; ask, and we erase it completely, with a receipt.
What we learn from:
patterns in how Wisdom Talk is used overall, with anything that identifies you removed.

A word from Lumen

People spent lifetimes reading these books and years working out what they meant. You can ask them a question tonight and hear the answer while you make dinner.
