This Cookie Policy explains how Empire of Light (the operating name of Media Marketing Resource LLC) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://empireoflight.love and its related addresses: app.empireoflight.love (the Know Yourself Quiz), wheel. and members.empireoflight.love (the Wisdom Wheel and the Illuminated Traits Report), luminaries.empireoflight.love (the community portal), talk.empireoflight.love (Wisdom Talk), go.empireoflight.love (checkout pages) and is.empireoflight.love (our short links). It supplements our Privacy Policy.

When you first visit our main site, our cookie banner lets you choose: Accept all or Accept essential. Essential cookies are always on because the sites cannot work without them. What happens to the rest depends on where you are, and we set that out plainly below rather than promise more than the site does.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your choices, and understand how the site is used. "Similar technologies" include pixels, local and session storage, and scripts that send small usage signals. We refer to all of these as "cookies" here.

2. What we use, and why

Analytics Google Analytics 4 (cookies _ga and _ga_*), loaded through Google Tag Manager, measures how our main site and the Quiz are used. Microsoft Clarity (cookies _clck and _clsk) records how pages on our main site are used (clicks, scrolling and movement on the page) so we can find what confuses people. Both depend on where you are (Section 3), and both follow your banner choice.
Visit and link measurement When you arrive from a link that carries campaign tags, we keep those tags in cookies named _eol_lens_sig and _eol_campaign_id, and, where Google Analytics is on, a copy of its visitor number in _eol_ga_cid, for 90 days across our addresses, so we can tell which post or email brought you. When you follow one of our short links (is.empireoflight.love), a cookie named eol_click holds a random click number for 12 hours, and our pages report how long the visit lasted. Separately, while a page is open, a site-health counter sends a random visit number kept in your browser tab (cleared when you close it). None of these holds your name or email. Advertising We do not use advertising cookies. Advertising storage is switched off for every visitor, wherever you are. If we ever add advertising, it will appear here first and stay off until you consent. No

3. Where you are matters

  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Microsoft Clarity stays off and Google Analytics sets no cookie until you choose Accept all. Until then Google Analytics receives only cookieless pings that count visits, with no cookie and no visitor number.
  • Everywhere else, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are on by default. Choosing Accept essential switches Microsoft Clarity off and stops Google Analytics cookies for that browser, on every page of our sites; Google Analytics then receives only cookieless pings that count visits, with no cookie and no visitor number.
  • Everywhere, advertising storage is off. The visit and link measurement described above is on until you choose Accept essential, which stops the site-health counter and our pages reporting how long a visit lasted.

4. Your choices

  • The cookie banner. Choose Accept all or Accept essential when you arrive. Your choice is kept for 90 days and applies on every page of our sites.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, so a GPC or similar opt-out signal is honored by default: there is nothing of that kind for it to stop. Our site does not read the signal to switch off analytics; use Accept essential for that.
  • Your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookies, you will need a fresh sign-in link each time you visit the Wisdom Wheel or Wisdom Talk.
  • Google Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics across sites using Google's browser add-on.

You can change your mind at any time. If you need to update your cookie choices and cannot re-open the banner, email us and we will help.

5. How long cookies last

Some cookies last only for your session and disappear when you close your browser; others persist so the site remembers you on return. The sign-in cookies last up to 30 days, the campaign-tag cookies and our record of your banner choice 90 days, and the short-link click cookie 12 hours.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools or the law change. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date above, and when a change matters, we tell you before it takes effect.
