These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of https://empireoflight.love, its related sites (app., wheel., members., luminaries. and talk.empireoflight.love), and our products — the Know Yourself Quiz, the Illuminated Traits Report, the Wisdom Wheel, The Luminaries community and Wisdom Talk — together with our related content, assessments, courses, and community (the "Services"). The Services are provided by Empire of Light, the operating name of Media Marketing Resource LLC, a California limited liability company ("Empire of Light," "we," "us," or "our").
Please read these Terms carefully. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Section 16 holds the rules that apply only to Wisdom Talk, and the Legal Hub shows which documents apply to which product.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using them, you confirm that you are 18 or older and able to enter a binding agreement. The Services are educational and are intended for adults.
The Learner Covenant is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms. It is not a statement of values sitting beside the contract — it is a binding promise from us to you, and you may rely on it and enforce it as you would any other term here.
Where the Covenant and any other document of ours conflict — including these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy — the reading that is more protective of you governs. We will not use the fine print to take back something the Covenant gave you. Where a policy grants us a right that the Covenant promises away, the Covenant wins.
What that rule covers. The Covenant's promises are about your data, your privacy, your safety, and how we treat you, and that is where the more protective reading governs. It does not change prices, billing, or refund rules, which are set out in Section 8 and Section 16; in particular, it does not make a Wisdom Talk purchase refundable (Section 16.7).
Empire of Light is an educational program about consciousness, wisdom traditions, and personal development. Our assessments and teachings are designed to help you understand yourself and learn in the way that suits you best.
Empire of Light is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or mental-health treatment, and nothing in the Services is a substitute for professional advice from a licensed physician, therapist, or other qualified provider. Our content is for educational and personal-growth purposes only. If you are in crisis or need medical or mental-health support, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services. In the U.S. you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline); outside the U.S., findahelpline.com lists crisis lines in your country; in an emergency, call your local emergency number.
What our assessments are, stated plainly. Your Wheel and any reading we generate are our good-faith educational reading of how you learn — built from cited wisdom traditions and our own engineering. They are not psychological diagnoses, not clinical instruments, and not scientifically validated measurements of you, and we will never present them as such. Where the mirror is uncertain, it says less and asks more. (Promise 8, Learner Covenant.)
Automated safety screening. In the Wisdom Wheel, messages you send your teacher are screened automatically for language suggesting crisis. Where a conversation is flagged, teaching stops and crisis resources are offered immediately — automatically, never waiting on a human. A person is then alerted, and that alert contains none of your words — only the system's decision. Human follow-up is within 24 hours. We are a small team; we do not offer, and will not claim, 24/7 live human support. Crisis exchanges are never scored and never enter our analytics.
Wisdom Talk. Lumen, the voice of Wisdom Talk, is an artificial intelligence system, not a person, counsellor or clinician. If you tell Lumen you might hurt yourself or are in danger, she gives you a way to reach a person right away and stays with you gently; that moment is never charged, and we keep only a count that it happened, never your words (Section 16.1).
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at email us if you suspect unauthorized use.
Where you sign in. Each product has its own door:

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms.
The Services and their content — including the Wisdom Wheel framework, the Know Yourself Quiz, courses, written material, designs, logos, and the Empire of Light name and branding — are owned by Media Marketing Resource LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. No other rights are granted.
If you post content within The Luminaries community or elsewhere in the Services ("Your Content"), you keep ownership of it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use Your Content solely to operate and provide the Services. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it. We moderate community content after posting and may remove anything that violates these Terms. Our process for handling copyright complaints is described in our Legal & Disclaimers page (DMCA).
The Luminaries is free for anyone to join. Its paid tiers (Illuminate and Radiate) add live gatherings and member rooms; they are subscriptions under Section 7. The Luminaries communities are separate from the private Wisdom Wheel group, which is open to Wisdom Wheel members.
Some offerings are one-time purchases (the Illuminated Traits Report, Wisdom Talk hour packages and Handbooks); some are recurring subscriptions (the Wisdom Wheel founding membership, the paid tiers of The Luminaries, and Wisdom Talk monthly plans). Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms. Prices are shown on each product page and at checkout. The Illuminated Traits Report is paid for before you take its twelve questions.
Free trial. The Wisdom Wheel founding membership begins with a 7-day free trial, with your card on file. Nothing is charged during the trial, we email you a reminder before it ends, and if you cancel before it ends you are never charged.
Automatic renewal. If you buy a subscription, it will automatically renew at the end of each billing period and your payment method will be charged the then-current price until you cancel. We will tell you the length and price of the term before you buy. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for (for a Wisdom Talk plan, every package of hours you already hold stays until its own expiry). Where required by law, we send renewal reminders.
How to cancel. The Wisdom Wheel and the paid Luminaries tiers are cancelled in the community portal: log in at luminaries.empireoflight.love/login, click Manage Subscriptions in the left panel, click Generate Secure Code and enter the 6-digit code we email you, then click the ⋮ beside your subscription, choose Cancel, then confirm. The How to cancel page shows every screen. You can also cancel by email: email us from the address on your account and a person handles it. Wisdom Talk monthly plans are cancelled from Your plan in the Wisdom Talk menu, or by email, as set out in Section 16.5.
Refund rules differ by product. They are set out in Part B of our Legal & Disclaimers page, which is incorporated here. In summary: Wisdom Talk purchases are final (Section 16.7); other digital products may be refunded within 14 days of purchase, provided the course or materials have not been substantially accessed or downloaded (an Illuminated Traits Report counts as accessed once it has been delivered; if you paid but could not take the assessment, or your report did not arrive, we make it right); subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, with access continuing to the end of the paid period and no partial refunds; and, outside Wisdom Talk, we consider good-faith exceptions case by case.
Marketing email is a separate, optional choice. Subscribing to the Services is not agreement to receive marketing email. You opt in to marketing separately, and you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting your account or your access to anything you have paid for. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and we honor opt-outs promptly.
We will still send you essential service messages — receipts, renewal notices, security and account notices, and changes to these Terms or the Learner Covenant. Those are part of running your account, not marketing, and they continue as long as you have an account.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result, insight, or outcome will be achieved. Personal-growth outcomes vary from person to person, and we make no promise of any specific result.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Empire of Light and Media Marketing Resource LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Empire of Light, Media Marketing Resource LLC, and its members and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or content you share.
Talk to us first. If something goes wrong, email email us and tell us. We would far rather fix it than litigate it, and most things can be resolved in a conversation.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, because Media Marketing Resource LLC is a California company. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be brought in the state or federal courts of California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Two things we want to be clear about. You may always bring a claim in small-claims court in your own local jurisdiction — you do not have to travel to California for that. And there is no arbitration clause, no class-action waiver, and no jury waiver in these Terms. We did not take those rights from you, and we do not intend to. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer-protection laws of the place you live.
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including our own intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
The licence you grant us over Your Content does NOT survive. To remove any ambiguity: when you delete your content or your account, the licence in Section 6 ends with it, and we stop hosting, displaying, and using that content. This follows Promise 4 of the Learner Covenant — "delete your account and your data goes with it, fully, not deactivated." The only exception is content another member has already quoted or replied to in a shared thread, and anonymous, de-identified aggregate statistics that can no longer be traced to you. Your obligations to us survive; your grant to us does not.
Material changes are never made by silence. For any material change to these Terms or to the Learner Covenant, we tell you directly by email before it takes effect, and we update the "Last updated" date. Where a change affects how we handle your assessment or consumer health data, or takes away a promise in the Learner Covenant, we ask for your consent again and do not infer it from continued use.
For any other material change, our notice tells you what is changing and when. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Services and cancel any subscription before the change takes effect; if you keep using the Services after that date, the revised Terms apply to you from then on. A change never reaches back: it does not shorten Wisdom Talk hours you already hold or raise the price of a period you have already paid for. Non-material changes (typos, clarifications, updated contact details) may be made by posting.
This section holds the rules that apply only to Wisdom Talk, the spoken-conversation service of Empire of Light at talk.empireoflight.love. The rest of these Terms apply to Wisdom Talk too; where this section and the rest of these Terms differ for Wisdom Talk, this section governs. What Wisdom Talk keeps, and what it never keeps, is set out in Section 13 of the Privacy Policy.
Wisdom Talk is a real-time spoken conversation with Lumen, the AI librarian for Empire of Light, who answers from the books of the Great Library of Light.
Lumen is an artificial intelligence system, not a person, counsellor or clinician. Wisdom Talk is for learning and reflection; it is not medical, psychological or crisis care.

You need an account to use Wisdom Talk, including the free minutes. You must be 18 or older. You sign in at talk.empireoflight.love with a link we email you, and it stays open on that device for up to 30 days. Your sign-in link and the device you sign in on open your account, so keep them to yourself: anyone using them can use your hours.
Every new account receives ten free minutes, once. They carry no obligation to buy.
Hours are sold in packages. Each package is good for 12 months from the date of purchase. When you hold more than one package, the oldest hours are used first. Time is counted while you are connected in a conversation. A conversation never ends mid-sentence: when your time is nearly up, Lumen finishes her thought and lands, and that closing moment is not charged. We email you 30 days before any package expires.
A monthly plan renews automatically each month, and your payment method is charged the plan's then-current price, until you cancel. Each month you are billed adds a package of hours, and each package is good for 12 months from that date. If a payment fails, no new hours are added until it succeeds, and the hours you already hold are untouched.
How to cancel a monthly plan. In Wisdom Talk: open the menu, choose Your plan, then Cancel my monthly plan, and confirm. Billing stops at once, every package you already hold stays until its own expiry, and a confirmation follows by email. You can also cancel by email: Send us the cancel email (it opens a ready-to-send message), or write to mail at empireoflight.love from the address on your Wisdom Talk account. No reason is needed. A person stops the plan and writes back to confirm, normally within one business day. If a renewal is charged after you sent your cancel email, we reverse it.
A Handbook is built from the books and from what Lumen drew on in your session, never from a recording of your words. It usually arrives by email within 15 minutes. The download link works for 30 days, so please save the Handbook to your device; if the link has expired, email us and we will send you a fresh one.
All purchases are final. Hour packages, monthly plans and Handbooks are not refundable. Your free minutes let you try Wisdom Talk before you buy anything. If a Handbook does not arrive, write to us and we will make it right.
This applies even though Section 8 and the Legal Hub allow refunds on some other digital products, and even though the Learner Covenant says the reading more protective of you governs: that rule covers your data, your privacy, your safety and how we treat you, not the price or finality of a purchase (Section 1). Cancelling a monthly plan stops future billing; it does not refund a month already billed. Nothing here limits any refund the law requires, or our correcting a billing mistake, such as a double charge or a renewal charged after you asked us to cancel.
If we invited you to use Wisdom Talk free, the same terms apply and nothing is charged.
Wisdom Talk is for your own use. Please don't attempt to record, resell or automate access to the service.
Material changes to this section are announced by email before they take effect (Section 15), and never shorten the life of hours you have already bought.
