Empire of Light is an educational program about consciousness, wisdom traditions, and personal development. Our assessments and teachings are designed to help you understand yourself and learn in the way that suits you best.
Empire of Light is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or mental-health treatment, and nothing in the Services is a substitute for professional advice from a licensed physician, therapist, or other qualified provider. Our content is for educational and personal-growth purposes only. The Services and their content — including the Wisdom Wheel framework, the Know Yourself Quiz, courses, written material, designs, logos, and the Empire of Light name and branding — are owned by Media Marketing Resource LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. No other rights are granted.
If you post content within The Luminaries community or elsewhere in the Services ("Your Content"), you keep ownership of it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use Your Content solely to operate and provide the Services. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it. We moderate community content after posting and may remove anything that violates these Terms. Our process for handling copyright complaints is described in our Legal & Disclaimers page (DMCA).
Some offerings are one-time purchases; some (including paid tiers of The Luminaries) are recurring subscriptions. Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms. Prices are shown at checkout.
Automatic renewal. If you buy a subscription, it will automatically renew at the end of each billing period and your payment method will be charged the then-current price until you cancel. We will tell you the length and price of the term before you buy. You may cancel at any time through your account or by emailing email us; cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Where required by law, we will send renewal reminders and provide an easy online cancellation method.
Our refund terms for digital products and community access are set out in our Legal & Disclaimers page and are incorporated here. In summary: digital products may be refunded within 14 days of purchase, provided the course or materials have not been substantially accessed or downloaded; subscriptions may be cancelled at any time with access continuing to the end of the paid period; and we consider good-faith exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
When you subscribe, you agree to receive emails from us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time; we will honor opt-outs promptly. We will still send you essential service messages (such as receipts and account notices).

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EMPIRE OF LIGHT AND MEDIA MARKETING RESOURCE LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Empire of Light, Media Marketing Resource LLC, and its members and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or content you share.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing anything, please contact us at email us so we can try to resolve it directly.
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
We may update these Terms as the Services or the law change. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, give additional notice. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
